Tea Culture of Nepal
Tea drinking is an important part of Nepali culture and it is served throughout the day, starting in the early morning. Milk tea (chiya) is the most widely consumed hot beverage in Nepal. There is no specific time, age or weather for tea. If you ever happen to be a non-drinker, you are still cordially and carefully offered an alternative to tea which again is just another kind of tea.
These days tea bags have become more popular in Nepal, but loose black tea is still preferred for its rich flavor, color, and usually, lower price.
